OSTEOPATHY
Osteopaths are government registered primary health care practitioners, who recognise the body as a whole unit and appreciate how all systems are interrelated. They look at the structure of the body and the way it functions. They acknowledge the signs and symptoms presented whilst conducting a thorough case history. Through trained diagnostic skills they aim to find the cause and the source of a person's pain or reduced function.

Osteopaths are traditionally hands-on manual therapists that use an array of techniques such as joint articulation, soft and deep tissue massage, muscle energy technique and high velocity low amplitude (HVLA) manipulations to modulate pain by relieving tension in tissues and encouraging access to desired joint range of motion.

The Osteopaths at Functn Health Group provide information and resources to educate and motivate our patient's to identify and modify behaviours/lifestyle factors and activities that may be maintaining their dysfunction/pain. These factors may also be limiting them from achieving their optimal health and well-being potential.

We believe the pathway for a pain-free life does not stop at the treatment room door. All of our practitioner's have completed extra studies atop their university degrees to guide you in the Clinical Pilates studio or Boutique Rehabilitation gym, to ensure they can assist you in restoring pain free movement and managing any conditions, so that you can participate in all aspects of life.
